Bayern Munich name their price for Manchester United target Renato Sanches
Munich will cut their losses and offload the Unsettled renato sanchez this summer
Bayern are pushing Manchester United target Renato Sanches towards the exit door and are willing to accept a big loss on the midfielder in order to get him off their books this season.
The Bundesliga champions pulled off a major risk by signing the Portuguese teenager last summer, with the youngster having impressed both for Benfica and at Euro 2016.
They fought off competition from the likes of Manchester and Madrid to secure his signature, but he endured a miserable season in which he started just six league matches.
And now Bild are reporting that he will be allowed to leave the club, with Munich prepared to let him go for just €35million (£30.6m) this summer.
This fee would represent a huge loss for the bayern, who paid an initial €35m last summer alongside a host of additional payments and clauses that added another €45m to the transfer deal.
Carlo Ancelotti clearly not rating a player who failed to register a single goal or assist in 17 league appearances, Munich are keen to offload the 19-year-old before their outlay reaches the €80m figure they are expected to pay over the course of his five-year deal.
Mourinho had been desperate to sign Sanches last season, but he opted for Bayern, and has clearly been keeping tabs on him since.
‘There is a Portuguese kid, Renato Sanches, who is a European champion. But he doesn’t play in Bayern Munich,’ Mourinho explained in April.
But Mancheseter United once again face significant competition, with Inter Milan, Juventus, Monaco and Marseille all rumoured to have lodged their interest in Renato Sanches this transfer window.
