At £60m Silva would become the most expensive player in City’s history, beating the previous record of £55m, which the club paid for Kevin De Bruyne in 2015.
Bernado Silva has impressed this season, contributing eight goals and nine assists in 37 Ligue 1 games, and now looks set to bring his talents to the Premier League as Manchester City look to build a squad capable of winning the Premier League next year.
