Manchester Uniter News: United could bring forward their plan to sign Victor Lindelof while Arsenal FC midfielder Jack Wilshere will have a big decision to make – according to papers.
Injury Prone WILSHERE’S ARSENAL FUTURE IN DOUBT
Arsenal FC midfielder Jack Wilshere will decide his long-term future in the summer, according to the Daily Mirror.
The 25-year Midfielder has been on Arsenal’s squad since 2001, but was Given out on loan to Bournemouth at the start of the season as Manager Arsene Wenger was unable to promise him regular first-team football.
Wilshere has 18 months to run on his current Gunners deal and it is believed that no talks have taken place over a possible extension at the Emirates Stadium.
More, Bournemouth team-mate and good friend Benik Afobe believes Wilshere is only thinking about matters on the pitch.
“To be honest I don’t think even he knows what he is going to be doing,” Afobe said.
“We have convos all the time and he just wants to play week in week out and take it month by month and see what happens at the end of the season.
“The main thing for him is about getting his confidence back and staying injury free.”
There is certainly no shortage of interest in Wilshere, with Bournemouth keen to keep him on a long-term deal. Manchester City and AC Milan are also said to be monitoring the situation.
Manchester UNITED TO PLAY the WAITING GAME?
Manchester Uniter News: United will make a final decision this week whether to sign Benfica centre-back Victor Lindelof now or assess the situation again in the summer.
According to the Daily Star, Jose Mourinho is pondering whether to bring the £38million move forward despite already saying that they will be no major arrivals at Old Trafford this month.
The United have recently recouped over £45million following the sales of Morgan Schneiderlin and Memphis Depay, putting United in a strong position to strengthen their squad sooner than they initially expected.
The Red Devils have also been alerted by potential interest from Inter Milan in Sweden’s top defender and that may also force their hand this month.
Lindelof is represented by Fali Ramadani, but it is also claimed that super agent Jorge Mendes, who also represents Mourinho, is now involved in the deal, too.
